ANU lecture on Gender, Law and Development
Dr Joyce Das delivered a guest lecture at the Australian National University’s postgraduate course on Gender, Law, and Development. Joyce had the privilege of engaging with brilliant students and faculty on critical intersections between gender equality and legal frameworks.
The discussion was rich and thought-provoking, exploring how plural legal systems can interact with gender equity in development contexts. These conversations are reflective of why academic-practitioner dialogue is so vital – students brought fresh perspectives that challenged conventional approaches.
