FemFest in 2025

Hosted by Initiatives for Women in Need Inc (IWiN), FemFest 2025 brought together CALD women, community leaders, and advocates from across the ACT to celebrate women’s enterprise, creativity, and leadership. Go Equal collaborated with organisers, having a dedicated booth, and the response from attendees was wonderful.

At the heart of Go Equal’s presence was the Gender Equality Pledge Wall, a space where visitors were invited to make their own personal commitment to a more equitable world. By the end of the day, the wall was filled and alongside it, a gender equality quiz attracted inquisitive participants and sparked conversations.

For Go Equal, FemFest was about connection, meeting so many individuals dedicated to closing the gender gap, hearing their stories, and sharing in their enthusiasm was a reminder of why this work matters. Go Equal also extends a heartfelt congratulations to the NETRI participants, whose presence at FemFest was a highlight of the day. Their leadership, dedication, and spirit of sisterhood were on full display, a fitting showcase of everything the NETRI program stands for.

As Go Equal’s Dr Joyce Das reflected on the day: “When women support each other, extraordinary change happens.” FemFest 2025 was living proof of exactly that.
