Go Equal’s Evaluation of the NETRI Program
Go Equal was engaged to conduct an independence evaluation of NETRI, a culturally tailored leadership program for CALD women in ACT. Designed and delivered by Initiatives for Women in Need (IWiN), the program ran from March to May 2025, which brought together 14 women from seven countries of origin for an integrated program. The program consisted of six full-day workshops, five online tutorials and FemFest 2025.
Go Equals evaluation assessed the program across four dimensions: effectiveness, leadership and management capability development, workshop delivery quality and sustainable community impact. The findings were compelling, 90% of workshop experiences were rated “Good” or “Excellent” and 85% of participants rated their overall experience positively. On average, participants reported a 37% increase in leadership confidence, with communication skills showing the largest growth at 48%.
The evaluation also looked beyond the program itself, finding that 64% of participants formally shared their learning with their communities and 42% went on to mentor others. Multiple community initiatives were launched by participants during and after the program as well.
The Go Equal team developed a set of strategic recommendations to strengthen NETRI in future opportunities for adaptation. These rigorous evaluation capabilities can give organisations the evidence they need to grow, improve and demonstrate their value, as has been done in this project.
